SUPER GRANNY

I have always had a soft spot for old people. Old ladies in particular.

They never fail to remind me of my late grandma.

Small and cute.

WIth a cheery smile.

Sometimes even cheeky in way.

My heart melts when I see an old lady working hard to earn a living for herself.

They do make my tears flow. Happens when I visit old folks' home.

Despite all the negativity and bad vibes that have spread like wild fire around our country, one lady managed to bring a smile to people who have come across her or even read about her.

She's non other than Maimun Yusuf or Tok Mun as she is better known as.
When the elections results were out, despite being very furious and doubtful with the results, my mind drifted of to this lil ol lady.

I had hoped that she would get some votes so to not lose her deposit.

She's amazing nonetheless.

She's gritty. She's brave. She's honest with her intentions.

And she never gave up.

A breath of fresh air.

Away from all the "wolves" and "masked men".

Do read more about her on http://www.maimunbintiyusuf.blogspot.com/

A super granny indeed.

Reminds me of the cute ol lady who sells coconut near my house.

I want to be cute ol granny when i get old. Just like them.Still working. And yet happy with what I have.

I have immense admiration for her becoming an independent candidate but too bad she lost her deposit as well. I also like how strangers from far coming to help her with her campaign by setting up a facebook profile, blogspot and picasa album for her. Muhibah!

She's one amazing granny!
